Laurel Girls and Boys Club, Maryland, USA – Real Time energy monitoring of one of the gyms at LGBC revealed unusually high usage in the evenings which normally would have gone unnoticed. Eniscope tracked the excess consumption down to the heaters. It transpired that the thermostats had been tampered with, resulting in permanent heating of the gym… even at night! The thermostats were locked down and energy expenditure fell from $10,000 to $6,000 per month, an annualised saving of $48,000!
